Odds 'n End Drawings

Bothered going over some stuff I had kept for years and thought I'd share these with the internet public that either loves or hates what I do!

First off, I'm not sure where this drawing came from, but I did it while I was a teenager in high school and now I'm ashamed of where my talent was then, I've certainly improved since this point...

This was something I did as part of some school project, probably in Drama class, based on the musical "Brigadoon", I suppose designing a poster that never got off the page of notebook paper I doodled this on.

Sometime in the late 90's I came across a webpage, not sure precisely why or how (probably from a newsgroup posting) of a few guys who were looking to take a local radio skit involving raunchy characters into an animated series that went nowhere. Their Angelfire page is still up, but I don't suppose they're doing much anymore these days. These were drawings I did in refining the characters but I never did anything else with it or contacted them about it.

Next up is a few things I didn't do, but were drawings I had received from someone else who apparently found out I was an artist and gave me samples of what he or she could do. I forget the name now (besides seeing an initial written on these), but I think it was a relative or close friend. They're OK drawings though they appear somewhat antiquated in their humor and approach.

Well that's it for now. Sorry I don't have something a little more challenging right now, but I'm just warming up!

I often notice a lot of neat things going on over at the blogs I follow. Here's a killer entry from artist Eric Scales of interest to share!

The Ol' Sketchbook: 21 Days of Halloween Day 15- Wolf Man

Some practice drawings from a book

A while back I started getting into this book from Andrew Loomis I had in my library...

So far I've gotten myself some 40 pages into it and still continue to carry on. Certainly got something to shoot for in improving my art. Here's some efforts from those early pages on drawing heads (please mind the quality of the scanner used since it's a P.O.S. these days)!

I hope to continue quite soon on my practicing.
